It’s finally here – tonight is the ELLE Style Awards, and we can at last reveal that Alexa Chung is the host.

ELLE towers is a whirl of excitement, wardrobe anxiety and last minute preparations today. Tonight it’s the ELLE Style Awards, and we’ve got an impressive line-up of celebrities and fashion insiders on the guest list. You’ll have to wait until the ceremony itself to discover the full line-up but there are a couple of secrets that we can reveal now.

First up, our host for the evening will be last year’s Editor’s Choice Award winner, Alexa Chung – place your bets on what she’ll be wearing.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition isn’t just about sexy to fashion designers lucky enough to make it in. There’s a loud ‘ka-ching’ for years to come.

“Everybody opens up that issue and goes, ‘Wow, where can I get this suit?’ We have a great response when it hits the newsstands,” said Simon Southwood, who expects seven of his suits to grace the famous pages.

Southwood has already presold to stores in anticipation of the big reveal on David Letterman’s show on February 14, followed by newsstand sales the next day.

Rumours are flying that Blake Lively is being lined up to play Carrie Bradshaw.

It’s fair to say that the last Sex and the City movie did not get rave reviews, and in the wake of all the pretty terrible coverage that it got the word was that its producers ruled out making a follow up. Now it seems that they’re rethinking their decision and are considering a third installment – with a difference.

Last year Candace Bushnell wrote a prequel to her original stories, ‘The Carrie Diaries’, about Carrie’s life before she moved to New York City and now it seems that it may be hitting the big screen.

Hale was rewarded with land in Canada and permission to raise a regiment of light dragoons, at first known as the 18th Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, then renumbered as the 17th in 1761 and named as a Lancer regiment in 1822.
