Gerard Pique is the new Face of Mango
Former Manchester United player, Gerard Piqué has signed a contract to be the face of H.E. by MANGO for Spring/Summer 2011 and Autumn/Winter 2012 campaigns. It looks as though David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo will have some competition in the footballer turned fashion icon stakes. The world cup winner was chosen by the brand beacuse ” Gerard Pique is the perfect representation of the type of man the brand aims to dress: young and carefree, with his own style and personality” In the past H.E. by MANGO has used male models to represent their men’s fashion brand, their choice of Gerard Piqué is moving towards the strategy adopted by MANGO, which since the beginning has chosen famous faces such as Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson to star in its advertising campaigns.
